Many people face loss and tragedy With the death of family
Others face scrutiny or judgment When leaving the family
Some are tied down physically but never together
Hearing their voice across the wall but separated by our words Ironically
What do I know about family other than pain and duty
Without love adjacent,
Left to lie in the pool of misery
With the family that threw you in and chastise you for not getting out Despite every attempt
Who even prospers
