About the Artist
Born as the eldest child and raised in an Asian immigrant household, Alexandra is an aspiring pre-law student majoring in Political Science with minors in Chinese and Public Policy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She lived in California and spent many of her childhood years in the Philippines before moving to North Carolina two years ago. You can find her on Instagram at @cga__cal

Me as a white women maybe won’t ever *really* understand the hurt you must have felt for all these years, and at the same time I consider myself very aware and empathetic. But it’s all about YOU so I am thanking you for this wonderfully written poem! ♥️
